• All persons are required to take a cleansing shower bath before entering the pool

  • It is prohibited for any bather to wear a bathing suit that is unclean

  • Thong style and/or revealing swim wear is prohibited

  • Any bather suffering from a fever, cough, cold, inflammation of the eyes, nasal or ear discharges, or any communicable disease is prohibited from entering the pool area

  • Any bather with sores or other evidence of skin disease, or who is wearing a bandage or medical covering of any kind, is prohibited from entering the pool

  • No spitting in, or in any other way contaminating, the pool, or its floors, walkways, aisles, or locker rooms

  • Bringing or throwing into the pool any object that may in any way carry contamination or endanger the safety of bathers is prohibited

  • Always listen to lifeguards

  • From time to time, the Senior Life Guard will call a 15 minute Adult Swim, when all of the kids must exit the pool

  • No horseplay

  • No running

  • No pulling/hanging on the basketball hoop

  • No hanging on the lane line ropes

  • No mermaid tails

  • No backwards jumps or dives off diving board

  • No acrobatics off the diving board

  • No blow up arm floats or blow up floats allowed. Coast Guard approved life jackets and puddle jumpers are permitted

  • No masks/goggles with nose pieces

  • Long hair must be tied back

  • Blocks for swim team use only

  • No swimming through lap lanes, lap lanes are only for swimming laps

  • Glass prohibited in the pool area or on walkways within 8 feet of pool area

  • Only alcohol purchased from the Groton Publick House is permitted

  • Small swimmers must take deep end test

  • Non swimmers must have an adult within an arms reach of child (even if they are wearing life jacket)

  • Non swimmers (including those wearing approved flotation devices) cannot leave the kiddie area without an adult

  • Children need to pass the deep end test to leave the kiddie area, unless accompanied by an adult

  • Children ages 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult while at the pool
